• The interviewer is an AI, and we say so.

  The interview screen labels it "AI interviewer", and we never present it as a person. People at the company make the hiring decision, not the AI.

  How the AI works

• You see your own results.

  You read your scores, the quotes from your answers behind each one, a short summary, and your full transcript, the same transcript a company sees.

  Your rights

• Scores quote your words, or say "not enough evidence".

  Our server checks that every quote is your own words. If an area has no quote, it is marked "not enough evidence" instead of getting a low score.

  The evidence rule

• You choose who sees your results.

  A company receives your transcript and results only when you start the interview from that company's link, and the link tells you so first. Anyone else sees them only if you send a share link, which you can turn off, or turn on your Find experts profile.

  Who sees what

• No camera required.

  You can type every answer. If you turn your camera on, it only shows you a preview of yourself and is never uploaded.

  What the interview records

• No screen recording or keystroke logging.

  We do not record your screen, log your keystrokes, track your mouse, or watch which tabs you open.

  What is never scored

• Transcripts are kept for up to 24 months.

  We keep interview records, including transcripts and results, for up to 24 months after the interview, then delete them.

  How long we keep data

• Delete your data at any time.

  Use "Delete my data" on your profile page, or email us. It is free, and companies lose access to results you shared through their links.

  How to delete

• We do not sell your data.

  We do not use your interview to train AI models, and we do not share it with anyone to train theirs. There are no advertising cookies on Aethel.

  How we use data

• Our AI provider does not train on your interview by default.

  We send interview content to OpenAI through its API. Under OpenAI's API terms, that content is not used to train OpenAI's models by default.

We would rather tell you than let you assume.

• No independent bias audit has been done yet.
• We hold no security certification, such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001.
• You cannot yet take back a company's access to a result you shared through its link, except by deleting your data.
