How it works

1. Pick a role and a level. The questions are written for it, and junior questions accept a job, an internship, a bootcamp, a course or your own project.
2. Type an answer, then check it. Simple word rules, run in this tab, look for a real example, what you did yourself, why you chose it, and how it turned out, and quote the words they found.
3. It is a quick check, not a score. It looks for signs in your words, not their meaning, so it can be wrong.
4. If you want more, ask for optional AI feedback on an answer when that is offered: an AI model says what worked and what to try next. Only then does that one answer leave this tab.
5. At the end you see what to practice next. When you are ready, take the full AI interview.

Questions

Is this practice free?

Yes. Practice is free, needs no account, and you can do it as often as you like. The full AI interview is free for experts too.

Is the quick check my score?

No. It looks for signs in your words, such as a date, a number, a reason word or "I", and it can be wrong both ways. In the full interview an AI reads all your answers, and every score quotes your own words.

What happens to my answers?

Aethel saves nothing. The quick check runs in this tab and sends nothing, and your answers are gone when you close or refresh the page. Only if you press "Get AI feedback on this answer" do that one answer and its question go to Aethel and to OpenAI, which writes the feedback. Aethel does not store them; OpenAI keeps request content for up to 30 days in abuse monitoring logs. Use "Copy my answers" at the end to keep your answers.

Is there AI feedback?

Yes, optional, when it is offered. After the quick check of an answer, press "Get AI feedback on this answer": an AI model reads that one answer and its question and says what worked and what to try next. It is not a score, and it can be wrong. The quick check never uses AI.

I am new to the field. Can I still practice?

Yes. Pick Junior. Those questions accept any real work: a job, an internship, a bootcamp, a course or a project of your own. One real case, told with what you did and why, is what the rules look for.

Does this help with other AI interviews?

The questions ask about one real case from your work: what happened, what you did, why, and how it turned out. That is what Aethel's published scoring rules look for, and it is a good habit for any interview that asks about your experience. Aethel is not connected to any other company's interview.
